John is a Captain for Sierra Aviation, the flight department for a financial services company in Kansas City, MO. He flies both the Global Express and CJ3. He is also responsible for Sierra’s Flight Safety programs. John is a former Naval Aviator with over 4,800 hours of flying time in a variety of military and civil aircraft, to include the T-34, T-2, A-4, F/A-18, as well as, numerous Cessna, Piper and Beech/Raytheon jet and light aircraft. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate along with type ratings in the Global Express, Citation Bravo and CJ3. He also holds a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument and Multi Engine Certificate.

John has been employed with Sierra Aviation since 2000. John has a Master of Business Administration degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. John is an officer in the US Navy Reserve, a member of the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Business Aviation Association, a board member of the Clay County Regional Airport and a member of American Mensa.
